But I can tell you, available from the EC-2 that RPM, MAP, Manifold Air Temp, Fuel Flow (Not certain of the formula to calculate raw data into engineering units, I believe Ed Anderson has some insight on FF calcs.) From that data, HP should also be available by calculation (I presume the EM-2 is calculating HP.) The only requested item not available would be fuel levels. The EC-2 has a serial interface (thats how it communicates with the EM-2. 19000 baud, 8-N-1, data is provided in a polled fashion. However; the level is CMOS (5 Volt.) You can fabricate a converter (plenty of DIY info on the web) or purchase a converter Like B&B TTL Converter MN 232LPTTL, to do the conversion to RS232 signal levels. I built an interface between my P4 on board computer and the EC-2 using this serial data comms from the EC2 (MAP, MAT, FF, Staging point, timing advance, fuel map table, etc.) Hope this helps, Joe ---- Original message ---- >Date: Sun, 10 Aug 2008 16:26:31 -0800 >From: "Al Gietzen" >Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: EM-2 signals to an EFIS? >To: "Rotary motors in aircraft" > >OK; that's two of us.
