another try.
This is my turbo manifold before final welding. the 2" exhaust nozzles are correctly welded to the flange, the outer 2.5" tube has .25" clearance around the nozzle, and is butt welded on the outside. (controversial?)
The top .5" straps are supposed to add strength (depth of beam) and allow thermal expansion while preventing cracks or breakage.
