Thanks George, any information you can give me would be
appreciated. If I see something I like, I jump on it, especially if it
proves safer, faster, more efficient, and last, prettier......(:-)

Their intake is very good, I prompted Francois
on going PP but he wasn't interested - claiming PP =reduced longevity. Of
course any engine running harder will not last as long and their aiming for
longevity.
So the intake is a 4 port ( I think), pretty
standard construction but with a very nice fuel catcher, very neat
indeed.
I really couldn't give any idea on which intake
is the best, as you say their all different but if you come up with a good
design and it is proven and cost effective, your on a winner. I'm sure
Mistral wouldn't mind the competition.
I passed the exhaust design on to PL's site, so
I will pass them on here it your interested.
Greg I also have some calculations on intake
sizing, if your interested - if it helps.

I have no argument with that, and my sympathy goes
to them on their recent crash, but they could at least return an email or
a call and tell me to go to hell. Didn't even get that, and I may
have been a potential client for an engine. Not a good way to do
Public Relations, and I being in business, can relate to
that.

To be fair, their up to their neck in work
trying to get their own development sorted out, this last problem with
the exhaust wasn't particularly helpful.
The problem is, from what I hear, that us
experimental chaps take up a lot of time and they haven't got the
time to put to such small sales. Things may be better down the track,
when they have everything sorted.
I've even offered Mistral details of an
exhaust that Bill Jepson and I have been working on and they didn't even
respond to that, I"M SURE only because they haven't got the
time

If you knew what I have been going through
getting a turbo manifold for a 20B built, you wouldn't even try.
I tried communicating with Mistral several times about one of their
manifolds, there was no interest in helping me out.

Just thought I'd ask around. A few people purchased intake
manifolds from Mistral and I'm trying to find out a few things about
them.
First of all, what versions of the 13B did they fit? How much do
they weigh? Originally, what were they selling them for.
As I understand it, they no longer sell them to joe-public, nor
do the new unit's fit on the standard 13B? Are there builders out
there who would prefer to buy a ready to install manifold for their
projects?
