It was acceptable, but still a little louder than I wanted so I bit the bullet and added the extra pipe and hung a muffler under the airframe. Personal preference, but I am glad I did. Much more pleasant now on long trips and I get compliments on how quite my RV sounds. -- David Leonard Turbo Rotary RV-6 N4VY http://N4VY.RotaryRoster.net http://RotaryRoster.net On Sat, Jun 7, 2008 at 7:25 PM, Greg Ward wrote: > A little off of the subject, but close. Greg,

I flew my first 100 hrs like that.  It was acceptable, but still a little louder than I wanted so I bit the bullet and added the extra pipe and hung a muffler under the airframe.  Personal preference, but I am glad I did.  Much more pleasant now on long trips and I get compliments on how quite my RV sounds.
