The ones I = used apparently had "fiberglass packing" as best I can tell. The = packing lasted approx 2-3 weeks before I discovered it was all gone. = Apparently a victim of the exhaust pulse shattering effect. I flew with = them as simple tubes for a while - but, they just did not reduce the = noise. The HushPowerII mufflers I am now using have held up for 50 = hours under my turbo block (no exhaust splitters) pounding and are still = going strong. Best part was they only cost $110 each (I used two = because it was cheaper to buy two mufflers than have a new header welded = up to use one tube and muffler {:>)) There are, of course, a number of Borla mufflers and other version may = do better than the ones I tried.
