In the San Diego area there is Al Gietzen, Dave
Leonard, Ryan S. Ryan (formerly George Graham's E-Racer), and myself. There are
also a couple of guys I know who are considering rotary installs. Maybe not a
hot bed but certainly a decent showing.
On the other hand Ryan is planning on replacing the
rotary with a Subaru 6. I've been working on him to at least make an effort to
resolve the issues he has before giving up. The E-Racer install is very crude.
Biggest shortcomings are no muffler and the crude carb install which gives him
erratic mixtures and high fuel consumption.
For some reason he has gotten the impression its
impossible to install a muffler that will survive. What is the consensus choice
on an off the shelf muffler these days? Has anyone tried Borla?

Just got back from Mid-Atlantic Flyin
where my rotary was very, very lonely {:>). Seems like Texas is the
current hot-bed of "successful" rotary activity.
