Mike,

The weight is between 5 and 6 pounds with all fittings. Not sure when I will be able to properly test this configuration. I am trying to chase down an oil lead before installing the prop. Yes it was very expensive but it is an RV10 :) Actually I made a mockup of the Techwelding cooler and I just could not fit it in very easily. I was (still) not certain about placement in the coolant loop. If I had any sort of welding skills I may have went that direction. I also liked the flexibility of changing the Lamoniva coolant fittings without welding or adapters if needed.

What's it weigh? Sure isnt cheap! For that price I sure hope it isnt a failed experiment. How far along is your project (in other words when will we get some feedback on whether or not it works)? I love the idea of a water to air exchanger but in the end I chickened out. Sure would like to get rid of an extra cowl inlet and a bunch of plumbing though!

I have the dual core E54-329 sitting between two 400ci radiators. No idea how it will work yet.

I recently installed a MoCal Laminova 43-330 oil/water heat exchanger as a backup to my oil/air cooler. It works as advertised; and will handle roughly ¼ - 1/3 of the heat load for the 20B. That was all I needed to keep my oil temps below max during climb on a hot day.

Setrab still makes a couple of units of lower capacity TOC-150 and TOC-200, but the larger TOC-300 is currently out of production.

Fluidyne no longer makes oil/water units, but some still show up now and then on e-bay.

C&R racing will make a higher capacity unit for you – at a price.
