Yeah, my Lancair came with the same blanket, and = I am=20 still debating whether or not to put an additional piece of stainless = between it=20 and the fiberglass. There will be several penetrations, including = fuel,=20 hydraulic, and electrical, and there is just something about a piece of = steel,=20 that feels good. Might add about 2 pounds, but.......

The Lancair comes with a custom firewall blanket. While it = is=20 aluminized, I don't know what is underneath the aluminum foil. I = can say=20 that it is much thicker than the Zetex material.
