Richard,
Good to see your at the balancing
stage.
I have a hunk of 4140 steel on my lathe to start
cutting my single rotor e-shaft. I am waiting for my machinist buddy to
check the set-up before I start cutting. Any balancer should be able to
balance your assembly if you give them your specifications-I doubt Paul would
know any more than yourself about the single rotor, however I could be
wrong.
Are you happy about what to include and what not
to include in the balancing weights.

Thanks for all the response on the subject. I
guess, I should have asked these question earlier.
I contacted Paul after the last rotary meet
about spin balancing the single rotor. The answer was - no problem, we can
do it-. So I packed all the rotating parts, assembled in a nice shipping
container and send it on its way to Phoenix. After about two weeks, I
e-mailed asking what happened with my parts. It was confirmed that the parts
arrived. In early December, an e-mailed request for update was not answered.
So I called the phone NR. listed for injection equipment on the website.
When the answering machine came on I hung up. Later that day, Paul called
back, asking what I needed. When I told him who I was, he told me that the
balancer was broke and he could not do my parts before the holidays. That
was ok with me.
The problem is, this was the last I heard
since. No e-mail answer and no phone call return.
I guess one more e-mail with the request to
return my stuff, is what I am going to do.
