Yeah George they had their own oil until Kadafi took over and nationalized 
it all.  We actually gave the King (Idris) their first air force, a couple 
of olllllld C-47's, and a couple of T-33's.  Should have seen their 
stateside trained pilots trying to figure out how to get the canopies 
open.........they kept tripping on their baggy pants, getting up the 
ladder.....(:-)
