Ed,
How do you like the sound quality of the Hushpower? IE. loud but pleasant, quiet but tinny, or just right? How many hours do you have on them now? What inlet/outlet size did you go with? Inquireing minds want to know!

You are correct, Bill.
Tracy liked the SS spintech sound characteristics, however both its weight and terrible aerodynamic shape detracted from its use in aircraft. The Hushpower II (which I am now using 2 of) does a respectable job of sound suppression, is lighter, definitely better aerodynamically and costs less. You can get it in both 409 and 304 SS with the 304 being the more expensive.

Joe,
Tracy tested the spintech and it worked well. He then took it apart and had it duplicated in SS. Or they built him one in SS. I don't remember. Tracy said it worked well with no problems, other than the appearance. I believe that Tracy and several others are trying the Hushpower II muffler. It is available in SS out of the box and several people say it works well. It has a better faired shape, (both ends rounded), and a slimmer profile than the spintech. No long term results from anyone on the Hushpower yet.

Joe,
I ran a Spintech for a while. It worked perfectly. I only switched to a Flowmaster because of all the guff I took for not looking "aerodynamic"!

Does anybody know if Spin tech ever built a muffler for the rotary? I know that Tracy tested one but did anything come out of it? Thanks
