Thanks for the data point Bill.  That's a good premium...I don't have a lot of TW time at this point, but I'm working on that.

I insured through Sky Smith.  I did have considerable tail dragger time, and a couple of hours of professional instruction in another RV-6, so he was able to insure me fully from the first wheel turn.  Runs about $1200/yr for $60,000 hull and lots of liability.

Are you able to get insurance?  I ask that first, because I've been made aware that it is very difficult to get for first flight/phase I, and if you get it, it's VERY expensive.
 
So, next question...What kind of premiums are being paid?  Hull values?
 
Where are you getting it, if you have it?
