I insured through Sky Smith Ins. I hadn't anticipated having to get insurance before renting a hangar at the municipal airport, but they wouldn't rent to me until I had it (with the city named on the policy). So, it wasn't IF I wanted to insure my project, but that I MUST insure it, or I couln't move it to the airport. This was "not in motion" coverage. Later, when I was ready for first flight, it wasn't a problem. And they covered me from first flight on. I would highly recommend that you use Tracy's products. That is one question they asked me and once I confirmed that I was using RWS redrive and engine controller, the rest was pretty painless. Premium was $2900 for $100,000 hull value. Mark S.
