Ed,
I read the installation manual on-line and it has a virtual pot to change mixture from the PDA.  Also ther is a feature that eliminates the shutdown feature.

Its very interesting for sure.   I could not tell, but did not see any mixture control and of course it has no redundancy.   Also, I would be a bit cautious to make certain it did not (like some auto cpu have) those limp-home or engine turn off functions.  Several users of the automobile cpu (for engines other than the rotary) found to their dismay that if the engine got a bit hot, it would shut down - not nice to have happen right after take off.

So, while I really like some of its features, I'll have to say I'll stick with the EC2.

Besides with my EFI System Monitor I can change timing and fuel maps on the EC2. {:>), so I feels I have the best of both worlds.  Can't do data logging though.

Has anyone tried this?  http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=home also look at http://www.turnerdr.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TDR0303 and checkout the vido for stage 2 capabilities.  You can use a Palm computer connect to your Mazda ECU to change injector size ignition timing and injector timing plus datalogging.  Just wondering if this would work.
