Your camera takes the picture in a series of 'frames' and the freezes the
prop in each frame.  The frequency is a bit faster than your prop during
takeoff, and a bit slower at the rpm picked up.

Subject: [FlyRotary] VIDEO CLIP OF A TAKE-OFF WITH MY ROTARY POWERED ZENITH
200

A few days ago I made a video clip of a take off of  my aircraft, as
viewed from the right hand seat.
When viewing the video clip in Windows Media Player, the propeller is
turning counterclockwise at take off, once at pattern altitude and the
engine is increasing rpm, the propeller slowly begins to turn
clockwise...
Why is that?
Can I set my camera so that the propeller will not be visible?
It was fun nevertheless...
Yvon.
