George, the 20 years before I retired, I worked
in the natural gas industry and from my experience a dozen low pressure gauges
right out of the box would not yield more than two or three with the same
reading. I have a Mallory pressure regulator from Jegs, part # 650-4309
which the instructions stated it was set at 3 pds. for the Weber carb.
It is hooked to an auto gauge, but I haven't put the fuel in yet. I
guess if it doesn't overpower the float needle value, I'll just go with the
reading that comes up on the gauge, unless there is a fuel starvation
issue. JohnD
I guess your right John,
However it would be nice to know exactly
what your putting to the carb. Apparently Paul Yaw has some good quality
Industrial carbs which are accurate, I think he mentioned Nikki but I
haven't been able to find them on the internet.
I thank you for the feed back!
