My friend with the 2nd Gen RX-7 recently brought it to
the drag strip and was doing good until the 35 amp
fuse that he had wired into the fuel pump and coil
(off a relay off the starter) blew.  He had a 25 amp
one with him and blew that one on the next run.  

I'm trying to help him wire things right.  What size
fuse for each component (coil and pump) is
recommended?

Also, any of you that drag race these buggers could
you shoot me an email offlist with a few cheap and
simple tips I could pass on to him?  Emphasis on cheap
and simple :)
