The first time I ever noticed that = phenomona was when flying formation with Tracy Crook. I normally do not = descend faster than 1000 fpm, rarily at 1500 fpm. Well, when Tracy = finds a hole in the clouds, he is not going to let it get away! Trying = to keep up with Tracy with his dive brakes retracted was different. I = found my VSI pegged at 2000 fpm down trying to keep up with him. So my = throttle is closed and the engine is still turning 5000+ due to the = steep descent. Suddenly, the engine began stumbling and missing and = my seat cushion became distored as my first thoughts were "Engine = Problem".
