Not my problem.  My opinion and that of the designer, is that more than 100 hp is not useful in this plane.  I don't agree at all that I need a  p port larger than 38mm to generate all the power I will ever be able to use. If I get the Hirth gear box, one of the gear ratios available will allow me to red line the p port at 7200 rpm.  Cruise will be around 6000 if I am trying to get somewhere and less if I am not.  If it jumps off the ground after a 100 foot take roll, I will be happy.  As Richard reminded me, it is more a matter of weight than hp.  Jerry

are you not intending to fit a throttle? That is the horsepower limiter!
What is wrong with having some extra power with no extra weight? When you operate from those high altitude lakes,
you can have the same hp you have at sea level. In the old days they had gated throttles for different altitudes and other reasons,
like hot days etc.
Fit the prop you want, spin it at the rpm you want ------that is all there is to it
I think you see a problem that does not exist,  TJ is right on the money, build it --- just don't plan to use it :)
