I notice one small item in the photo... looks like the cable is held in by the bolt. Hard to tell from the photo, but a potential failure point.  Barrel clamps, with a "back up" crimped loop behind the bolt prevents breakage of a no throttle.  Uh, did something similar once on the the Pro Rally car.  :)
 
Also great offer on the hat. I hope to take you up on it some day.   Only catch is I need a size 8 1/2.  "one size fits all" never works.  A Friend, Texas A&M grad was very proud of his over sized head... so I borrowed his cap to try it... nope sat on the top edge (I had very short hair) and didn't fit. His wife took one look and exclaimed "It thought Toby had a big head, but you have a huge head!" (I take it in pride!).
