  The ship engines are moving rather a lot more fuel than we are! Diesel=20
truck engines are reliably going hundreds of thousands of miles without=20
problems. If concerned replace them every other annual. (approx 700=20
hours)

Most engine fires on cruise ships is split delivery tubes. A time=20
change item. A Monel

tube maybe 3" in diameter with a 1/8" hole through the middle. And pop=20
pressures so high it fatigues the tube to death.
