I told
him, 160 hp at 25,000 feet on a rotary in a Long EZ - only problem was an
agreement with their aviation distributor who has the sole right to charge $4500
for the Money / Turbo Seneca turbo. So after a little work on Vince he sent
me an official letter saying that my needs can be meet much better with their
Turbonetics specialty built part made of their line of products except the
stainless turbine housing from Kelly Aerospace. There was no need to tell
him I'm planing on running a swamp boat on Mount
Everest.
re
Marko
So that turbo
just came in a few weeks ago for $1415 +-$50 or so. It is good for
160 HP at 25,000 feet. I'm sure you can get one too. Call 'em and ask for Dick
Vincent, very helpful guy.
Marko, I
forgot to ask- does this guy know it's for a plane? For any parts
that unrelated to altitude considerations, I typically say that it's for an
offshore racing boat, since they also use high power for long durations.
It's pretty hard to discuss turbo-normalizing a boat though
:-)
Thanks,
Rusty
