Another source for AN fittings is AmStreetRod.com.  Their prices are close to ANplumbing.com.  Chassishop.com prices seem to be substantially higher.  Another good source is Aircraft Spruce.  On the items they carry they have the best prices I have found (except their hose fittings are far more expensive.)

In response to question 2, you can get AN hose fitting reducers from Earl’s Performance Products that should do what you want.  The fittings are available from a lot of places on the web, such as:  http://www.chassisshop.com/catalog.htm  (look for the Earl’s Plumbing catalog approximately mid-way down the page on the left).  Page 17 of the catalog has a conversion chart from hose sizes in inches (such as 5/8”) to AN sizes (such as 10).

I order my fittings from anplumbing.com.  http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/index.php?

  Check out part # 991914

Subject: [FlyRotary] Water Plumbing Questions...

I have two plumbing questions (for now :)  )

    1.  Can I put a plug in hole on top of the engine at the front?  I believe Tracy has put an elbow fitting on his and then run 3/8ths inch hose to the high point on the water pump "tower" (for lack of a better term).  I'm not sure if this is required to help "burp" the system of air or not but the prior builder flew it with a water temp / pressure sender in the hole so it is tapped already.

    2.  Is there a good way to reduce the 5/8ths inch hose that will be required to exit out the bottom of my Volvo coolant pressure tank to the 3/8ths inch size that is coming out of the high point of my system (at the cap on water pump housing?  I have spend quite a bit of time "on-line" searching for something to use and haven't been able to discover a suitable fitting yet.

Thanks for your inputs.
