Richard,
My suggestion would be stay away from the clutches  - their proven to be a problem. The BMW damper should do the trick!

The torque pulses are a concern. I have some runtime now with the donut damper, which came with the gear box. If it is going to be a problem, I would switch to a clutch, which is also available for this gear box.

Hi Richard,
I have been following your single rotor for some years now; glad to see you are getting the hp up. However the reported sharp torque pulse has me worried; what has your experience been with the torque pulse with the single?

Have been running the one rotor on p-port for a while. Aiming for 115hp per rotor on 12A housings at 7500RPM(be happy with 100hp in the end). These estimates should give 150hp for 13B housings, more likely 130, making 260 for a 13B. I know this is worse than other p-port proponents predict, but this is what I am working toward. If more power (over stock) is the issue, p-port is the solution, also simplicity. I have not found any real negatives, for air craft use, in it.
