I have some 12A Pport housings modified by Mandeville. Should be good for
310 HP at
10,200 RPM.
I find the Pport in the race car to be more tractable than the bridgport,
as it has less port timing. There is nothing close to the Pport for making
power. The racer has the same Weber
as the bridgeported engine but with two 44mm chokes. A good 13B Pport
should do 330 HP at 9,500 RPM. Long runs above that needs very light rotors. I
note that the Lamans (Pport)engine was not turned up very tight at all (multi
piece crank) and made all the power they needed by just tuning the intake
lengths. We only need one RPM for cruise, and enough torque to get us there. How
hard can this be?
