I reached 6000 rpm. That's about 200 rpm better than before. That's only about 3% improvement, but better than nothing. I was told also that the engine is not broken in yet and should get a bit better. The ram air intake will help a bit too. My beautiful shiny pipes are dark blue now :( I had one of the airport bums stand by just in case something smokes or flies off. He was OK during idle, but at full power I saw him backing off with his fingers stuck deep in his ears. But again we were between two close rows of hangars.
