Harbor Freight has a non-contact infrared thermometer on sale for $9.99.  Item 93983.  It's operating range is -27 to 230 deg. F.  I plan on using it to check oil and water temperatures in the radiator tanks (inlet and outlet temps) after I paint a black spot on the tank ends. Dennis H.
