On my 2nd gen engines I saw a small drop (~2 degrees? ) in temp from under
oil filter to water pump outlet that I attributed to cooling on inlet side of
engine. The Renesis is a different story where I see a 3-5 degree
increase due to heating from the longer exhaust ports.
BTW, CONGRATS to Al on first flight of his plane. It is one of
the most meticulously built machines I've ever seen (in pictures). Hope I
get to see it in person someday.

I don't know George? I just report the facts. The water temps
are
measured when the coolant comes from the block (hottest) and the
oil
after the cooler (coolest). Don't ask me why :)
