Thanks Bob,

I get the picture of what to do on housing disassembly.

We are getting ready to travel for a week beginning this Saturday so I'll be reassembling the 20B between now and then.

Its on an engine stand right now but I think I need to get it to the floor to do this.

After next week I'll be happy to pay your costs and rental for the tool.

I'm in Osceola Iowa (55 miles straight south of Des Moines).

I have one, it's crude and heavy, but it has worked well for Mark and me. What part of the country are you in? And if you haven't done it yet, DON'T take all the through bolts out. Loosen them all a turn or two. Take out all the ones on the waterpump end, they are about 6" long, Then the long ones from the flywheel end (about 18 " long). If it's only about 12" long, put it back in finger tight. This will keep the two rotor housings together with all seals and stuff intact until you are ready to take the housings apart. Now, the front rotor housing should come off. (Note that 2 of the dowel pins have one end diameter ground down about .005". Note their location. I think the ground ends go in the front cover, but I am not sure.) I found it easier that way.

Thanks Mark and Barny for the information on pulling a 20B apart.

I guess what I need now is that e-shaft puller and a diagram of what you were describing to me Mark.

Anyone got one for rent?

I'll need it two weeks from now.
