[Lancair_ES] Steel fittings
I’m forwarding a message from the
Lancair ES group concerning an AN fitting from Wicks that was missing the
hole. Luckily they caught it before it caused any engine damage.
Just thought that a head’s up might help someone down the road.

Steel fittings
A guy at my airport ordered one of the
restrictor fittings from Wicks. It arrived with no hole! We were
blowing it out before installing it and noticed. We drilled a hole and
called Wicks to let them know. Imagine starting the engine the first time
and not getting oil pressure, Yikes! You could chase that problem for a
week before anyone discovered the problem with the fitting.
