Hey, where were you when I was doing my upholstery {:>).  The 3M stuff just doesn't hold to vinyl or foam very well.  Yes, I would be very interested in the exact name.  I would think some of the auto paint shop might carry something like that.  I prefer the brush on form as spray would just get it everywhere (if you are as messy as I am with a spray gun).

Thanks, Bob

Ed

Hi Ed,

There is a contact cement made for vinyl tops on cars that works way
better than the normal 3M contact cement.  It's Landau Top
Cement and is available in a spray can.  If you're interested I can get
the exact name and manufacturer tomorrow.  It's also available in liquid
form if you want to brush it on or spray it with your own spray gun but
I think the smallest size is 1 gallon in that form.

I've used it to attach vinyl to aluminum on top of my instrument panel,
attach the rubber grip to my control stick, and attach a strip of foam
to seal the hinge crack in the wood hanger door.

Finally the dust and straw stopped flying and I  had a soft cloth to wipe off the canopy. So continued the flight.  Then a few minutes later I notice the vinyl cloth I had covering the top of the instrument panel was starting to balloon up (apparently after 7 years the glue had dried out) due to air apparently leaking in from the front of the canopy.  Put a water bottle and few other things on top and that held it down.
