[FlyRotary] Re: Soapbox Warning! PSRU
Ratios
I think your right I am going
for 4.4 ID and the OD is 5 inch so they are the same, wow what a
simple mix up we were on a different page.
Ken
Guys are we on the same page !! Are these
measurements O.D. or I.D.
of the respective ring gears
??

No it comes from a C-6
as I have one apart here and I have Ross gearbox sitting here with a
4.4 ring gear in it but I have not seen a E4OD trans apart so it must
be different than the early standard C-6
Ken
Ummm, 4.4" sounds more
like the C4 transmission offered
in the Falcon, Fairlane, and Mustang lines.

custom pilot shaft will solve that problem Ken.

regard to the ring gear diameter. I've built over 180 gear
drives based on the C6 and E4OD (modernized C6 with electronic
controls) and the ring gear always measures 5 inches on the 2.176
ratio drives. My calipers just can't be that far off.
