Wendell ( hoping for calm winds and no flames tonight)

Wow, Wendell!   Sure glad it turned, and hope it doesn't come back.

Cheers,
Rusty (think I like hurricanes better than fires)

I don't care much for either. It was exciting around here. At least with hurricanes there is some warning.  My neighbor lost most of his pasture and a lot of baled hay.  I don't know how the cattle survived since there wasn't one blade of grass unburned.

Had winterized the irrigation system and had to set it all up again. We got the pump suction line put back into the pond and finally got some water up to the house.  If it wasn't for the wind shift from the cold front coming through, I think we probably wouldn't have gotten the pump and piping on line soon enough by the way it was moving ( took about 3 hours to get water going).  These things were even jumping Interstate 35. Traffic backed up for miles.

My shop where the plane project is, its just an old uninsured grass surrounded pole barn "converted" to a work shop.

By 11pm the local fires were knock down and couldn't smell smoke in the house.

The news said north Texas also had a lot of wild fires with loss of some homes.  I don't know total of homes lost in Oklahoma today, but sadly there were several.  Thankfully, all turned out okay here.

Wendell
