Good question George. By all accounts, the gear box is really nice, but it was too expensive when Powersport was selling it. If Atkins, or anyone else can build, and sell them cheaper, that would be great. If they're going to be the same price, then it doesn't matter, since almost no one will buy one.

I'm pretty amazed that Powersport has been around as long as they have. They've spent several fortunes on development, and have almost no sales to show for it. Basically, they priced themselves out of the market. Mistral is even more expensive, but they're aiming at the certified market, so perhaps they'll make it. It's nice that they're offering some parts to experimental folks, but as was the case with Powersport, the price it too high for most folks in the experimental world.
