Ed,
right now its in limbo. I placed a phone order with someone who answered the phone. She did not appear to be very knowldgeable from a technical standpoint and wrote down everything i was saying with regards to ordering the product (hi amp, direct drive wp/alt for mazda rx 7, and they know its goin in a plane, theyve done it before they say).
She took my name, address and number. This was early two weeks ago before Reno. I have sincewent to Reno last weekend, drove to Salt Lake, spent 2 days all over Salt Lake and vicinity getting proficient in a C-180 and completing my tailwheel endorsement. I then came home EARLY to board up the house, take the wings of the velocity, pack up the cat, and drive to the far NW reaches of Houston near KDWH. Watched the storm declare a "near miss" on my home and procede to give Beaumont a passionate embrace.
Chris is at work indefinitely, Jana escaped to Conroe (12 hours for 70 miles and a tank of gas). Jana (Chris's sig other) is home now, and all is well there. The plane is ok the best she can tell, the hangar externally is unblemished. I just checked the home phone and got my answering machine so power is on, but there is not a slice of bread, a cube of ice, a bottle of water or a ounce of gasoline available for sale in this town of 4 million.
I will follow up with the racemate people within the next week, but for now, this is a back burner issue.
Dave

Dave, I was wondering how this turned out.

This is by far the hardest lesson about freedom. It goes against
instinct, and morality, to just sit back and watch people make
mistakes. We want to help them, which means control them and their
decisions, but in doing so we actually hurt them (and ourselves)."
