Does anyone know if and why Paul's engine was configured with one injector per rotor?

Is there a chance that there is some mistake about this?  The standard setup from Atkins is with the TWM TB is primary in the housing and secondary in the TB.

 

Second question; would it necessarily make any difference?  With two injectors per rotor, clogging of one would likely shut down the rotor anyway.

 

I’m glad I have three rotors and 6 injectors.
