Yeah, I am big Stemme fan too, mainly for the drivetrain-prop sytem! although I still would have to discover soaring!
With a average cloud base at 1200' there is not a lot of soaring around here!
C-182 has a LOT of advantage for hangar-space! Even with the folding wings the Stemme needs a 747 to park it underneath! :)

I'd rather pay that price for the Stemme than for a Cessna 182! Considering what certified aircraft cost now!
