Subject: [FlyRotary] RV-3 now lives in TN

Greetings,

Well, it's official, the RV-3 was delivered to it's new owner in TN today.  His name is Rich Nadig, and with any luck, he'll sign on to the rotary list.  I know he's planning to go to the roundup if he can, though I'm not sure which plane he'd fly.  Anyway, he's a fine fellow, and will make a great addition to the rotary family.

I'm very happy to report that the 2 hour flight to TN was completely uneventful, except for not being able to see the ground for 20-30 minutes in Northern AL.  I think the seat may be permanently creased :-)

The engine ran perfectly.  I kept the RPM's between 6000 and 6200 for most of the trip, and leaned to 15 AFR, which resulted in an EGT reading of 1750 F.  TAS was about 175 mph, at 10 gph (could have been leaned more), and the EM-2 reading was quite close, even though I've only taken a SWAG at the cal since the new software.   Basically, there were no problems at all that I'm aware of, so it was a great way to end my ownership of the plane.

The Single rotor Slingshot is coming along well now, and motivation will be raised with the departure of the RV-3.  I'm already shopping for the next project, but I don't know what that will be yet.

Cheers,
Rusty (down to one project)
