Kevin; Don't fly the plane until you check
the spark plugs. I had the porcelain crack on the inside on a bottom plug
and it started to fire back into the intake manifold I'm sure as it was glowing
hot. Engine went to 300 rpm over 80 foot trees on take off. Got it
on ground by leaving primer out, must of flooded in enough fuel to cool
plug. It would run normal cold on ground, but when the oil reached 170
degrees it would get smoking hot and lose rpms'.
