Hi Ernest,
Would you mind posting a status report when you get this installed and
working? It looks like a good alternative, but I don't see why each of
us has to invent the same wheel.

The back of the prop flange is a good idea for mechanical attachment.
The only problem I see is that the shaft RPM has already been reduced
there. Ground operations will only get you something on the order of
300RPM. The Compufire unit is supposedly wired to give you more current
at low speed, but putting it before the PSRU will keep you from having
to stress the unit's low speed ability.
My plan has been to put one on the input shaft of my PSRU. I have a 1",
10-spline shaft, which is what these units were designed to take as far
as I've been able to tell from the pictures.
