Personally, I 'm partial to functional brakes - makes my
whole day better. {:>). The lesson I learned is the second I feel
a mushy brake is to immediately assume total failure is imminent and shut down
the engine. Will only attempt to use the brake if certain disaster is
looming, that way - hopefully - I will avoid creating a fireball of flaming
hydraulic fluid.

with a -6A no brakes is a big
deal. I had to make 270 degree turns in Laramie once when I realized I
had no right brake. other than a personal bias against
them,

Hi Kevin,
Not a big deal until there is a crosswind and it weathercocks into the
wind without a brake to compensate and you "groundloop" you trike and all
the tailwheel guys come out of the wood work with smart A** comments.
