Subject: [FlyRotary] Oshkosh report
A nice sunny day, highs about 85 degrees.
Couldn't find Tracy. He wasn't where he has
been the last couple of years.
The corral at noon on the north side of
the tower didn't have any rotor heads that I recognized.
Blue Mountain is now in one of the hangars.
The RV 10 was there at Van's.
John Dykes Delta Dyke airplane now has
over 2000 hours on it. (Eat your heart out Kelly)
The certified Seawind was there. Very nice
aircraft, ugly price tag (IMHO)
The Russians showed up with a LOW wing twin
engine seaplane. The wings are about 4" above the water. A underwhelming
exhibition at the seabase.
Met several 2500 Super Rebel builders. All
say the same thing. Great plane, great parts, and the manual belonging
in a building with a crescent moon on it....
My wife says the MGDQ needs a set of 3200
amphibs...... Never argue with your wife.
Going back Thursday or Friday.
