Rusty: Based on NO rotary experience, just other
stuff, I would still recommend no- detergent, dyno stuff for initial break in,
not M-1. you don't ever get a second chance to make that first
impression.

Joe, I seriously doubt it. I broken
my in about three hours of ground running and I am not even certain that was
required. The important thing is to break it in using mineral based oil
rather than a synthetic then changing the filter.
Well, I hope you're wrong about that mineral based
oil thing, because I've got Mobile One in mine, and plan to leave it
there. I do have mostly used parts in the engine though, at least as far
as bearings and such go.
