Mike,

RB told me in Jan that the front housing wouldn't take more than a couple months to finish, IF they could talk their boss into making it a priority.  It sounds like most of the work is done, but they just haven't assigned anyone to finish it.

For the life of me I can't understand why there's trouble with the front housing, it seems the easiest to do - did they give a reason for the delay.

Hi George,

A couple years ago, they said they were holding up on the front housing to see what the front cover of the Renesis would be like.  It sounded like they wanted to make one size fits all if possible.  Now, they just need to finish the one they're working on.  It sounds like they're turning out small, but regular batches of the rear and center housings.

FWIW, these AL housings that RB are making are supposed to have the same intake ports as an REW engine, but they don't cut them through to the side surface where the rotor is.  In other words, they're perfect for P ports applications as is.  They can cut the ports out like a normal housing, or you can do it yourself, so they will also work for normal engines.  The other caveat is that the rear housing does not have a regulator channel.  That means you have to provide your own means of regulating the oil pressure externally.

Cheers,
Rusty (fresh medical and BFR)
