Rusty,
I'm working on aluminium housings with steel wear surface inserts - similar to what Richard Sohn is doing.
For the life of me I can't understand why there's trouble with the front housing, it seems the easiest to do - did they give a reason for the delay. Perhaps there's something ( some problem) I'm not seeing!?
George ( down under)

last week i noticed that racing beat has custom aluminum center and end housings for 13b rotary engines, huge weight savings, very expensive, has any one ever considered using theses castings to replace the stock heavy steel end and center housings,

Hi Mike,

I think we've all fantasized about using them at one time or another, but unfortunately, the front housing wasn't available the last time I asked RB in January.  They've advertised these for years, but never quite got around to finishing the front housing.  The rear and intermediate have been available for some time though

Cheers,
Rusty
