Their = position was that aluminum fittings were and are specified and used by = Lycoming and OEM aircraft manufacturers. They are not mandated by FAA = or Part 23 regs. They felt aluminum was just fine. =20 OTOH, the only fittings I found for the main engine oil connections were = Racing Beat's and they are steel.
