The amount of w/bearing grease is so smal that there would not be any negative effect, Vaseline is fine as well.
Coop, you mention a temperature probe that you installed on a gear box, a good idea what was it?
I've setteled on an engine for the Mk IV , 92 street ported 13b NA(200HP), 2.85:1 RSW re-drive EC-2 EFI/dual ignition, EM-2 digital engine monitor (this monitor is amasing & can be had for Lycs. as well) For take off on high lakes a 50HP boost with NOS. Tracy Crook in Florida has 1450 hours on a rotary with no sign of wear! I,m a mechanic at hart, so I'm looking forward to getting it all together. The cost so far with the above equipment, a good 13bNA & an overall kit is about $7500.00 I can see another $1500.00 or so to finish the firewall foward installation, not bad for 200/250 HP! It's a labor of love, so no cost!!

Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Oil Flow
I will admit that pink mobil-1 stuff looks cuter; but, I have always been told to use petrolatem (vaseline) for this as it will totally disolve in the oil. Isn't there potential problems with many kinds of wheel bearing grease? Especially, since so much of it has so many various and sundry stranded type addtives.
jofarr, soddy tn
I REALLY wish I had known this little pearl in October when we built up, or in January when I closed the front cover!!
It will prime instantly when started months later
