Empty weight came out 125 lbs lighter than the old one, the old one weight in at 2000 lbs empty and I would fly it at 3100 gross, the new one weighs in at 1857 empty. Besides the better water handling the in flight is drastically better as the old one really rock and rolled in turbulence and this one just plows through them. Cruise speed remains about the same at 100 to 110 mph but still tweaking on the engine and prop and I think I can bring the speed up a bit, landing and takeoff speed is about 10 slower and much shorter on land and water.
