Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-ELNK-Trace: 9a30bff84e6cb88f95c85d38d22416599ef193a6bfc3dd48291eb40489b1c7219dd4eec6b386d389c965d6d45243e2d1350badd9bab72f9c350badd9bab72f9c X-Originating-IP: 24.238.206.157 The coil packs that I intend to use arrived yesterday while I was recovering from the night shift... I obtained a bank of 4 LS-1 Corvette/Camaro coils off of Ebay.. and while I expected them to be on the mounting chassis from the car, I was pleasantly surprised to find they came with the wiring harness still attached. These are the coils that were specified to be used with Tracy's EC-2 engine controller (at least, I sure HOPE I got the right parts this time)... Pictures will follow on tonight, and perhaps by then I will have had an opportunity to do some checking of my own.. However, I thought I would ping the list for suggestions while I am working/volunteering at the Rodeo (Medical/Safety committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo)... The coil bank has a wiring harness that takes 4 wires from each coil and merges them into a 7-wire harness/plug. I am curious as to the pin-out of the 7 plug harness, and what the mating plug (to match it) identifier would be.. This would permit easier mating to the EC2 and perhaps make the install a little smoother. Worst case scenario would entail cutting up the harness and making individual connections to each coil using harness parts, but I'd rather not do that. The ebay page for this item is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7959057572 I am not expecting anyone to do my homework for me... rather if someone recognizes the part/plug by pic or description and already knows, it would be wonderful to share in that knowledge. The entire assembly is a little long/bulky to mount directly on the block. I may take the bracket apart and fab my own to mount to the engine. Time will tell.. but for the sake of simplicity I would like to keep the harness intact. Dave Staten
