Thanks Rusty,
Keep doing whatever it takes to get one of your planes flying. :) I'll
be looking at some fiberglass work myself when I figure out how I'm
going to cut up my cowling.
I looked around on the link you supplied for the NPG+, and found that
comparing 10C to 80C viscosity numbers, water has a ratio of about 3,
50/50 EG/W is 5 and NPG+ is 16. Also the viscosity of NPG+ at 80C is
about 10X that of water at 80C.
Now the interesting thing is that the viscosity of water at 10C is
about the same as 50/50 EG/W at 80C, so I should be able to get a
comparison without heating. I can use 10C water to simulate 50/50 EG/W
at 80C.
It appears that you can drink as much of it as you like (if you're a
rat). Say is NPG+ green or is that just Prestone? Perfect drink for
St. Pat's.
Quote from NPG+ site:
NPG+ Coolant has been determined to be non-toxic in mammalian testing.
Independent tests on laboratory rats exposed to Evans NPG+ Coolant
showed no ill effects.
